Year In Review
2024

Business Highlights

Thank you to our clients, business partners and colleagues for all their support as we surpassed 19 years in business this year! 2024 was another full year of travel & continuing education, expanding our team & freshening up our office, and helping our many clients work toward their retirement and financial goals:

Growing Team

In September, we welcomed Ashley Ging to the team as our Licensed Service Assistant. She brings 16 years of banking and investment experience at WesBanco and Huntington and holds FINRA Series 6 & 63 certifications and life/health insurance licensure in OH & WV.

NYL Chairman’s Council

For the fourth year in a row, I qualified for New York Life's Chairman's Council,* representing the top 4% of roughly 12,000 Agents at New York Life. This year’s meeting was held in Paris in October.

Office Refresh

Building on last year’s updates, we gave the office a new coat of paint and added a new sign & welcome screen to the reception area.

Chicago Study Group Meetings

My ongoing Study Group met twice in person this year to continue learning the latest in portfolio management, changes to tax code, and other trends in the industry. After meeting at a group member’s hometown in Lake Charles, LA, in January, we returned to the group’s roots (and namesake) and gathered in Chicago in July.

Eagle Wealth Strategies Summit

In March, I travelled to the Eagle Strategies Wealth Summit in Arizona. This provided an opportunity to meet directly with portfolio strategists from across the country, allowing for one-on-one discussions regarding their investment perspectives, and attend other helpful sessions regarding the retirement planning industry.

Staff Highlights

John

  • We took some family time during our son's spring break and summer vacation to see terrific sights and have some fun experiences. We visited Washington D.C. and the many great monuments and museums of the National Mall in the springtime, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the summertime. We hope to visit more national parks soon and see more of what our great country has to offer.
  • Our son is now 10 years old and still very active with baseball, football, and wrestling, too. He keeps us on the run, and we wouldn't have it any other way! Erin continues to take great care of her real estate clients, all the while being the true Planner in our family. I'm so thankful for all that she does day in and day out.

Nicole

  • Greg & I survived the drought this year and hope 2025 brings better weather for the farm!
  • Hailey (8) is in 2nd grade and is having a great year.
  • Steven (14) is now a freshman. He played his third year of football this fall and ran his first season of track in the spring.

Ashley

  • Brayden (14) started high school this year. He is a great student and plays travel soccer for FC Wheeling United, so we spend many spring weekends traveling for games and tournaments.
  • Since joining the team, I’ve been working behind the scenes under John’s direction and look forward to meeting more of our clients in 2025!

Hallie

  • Our three girls are 5th, 7th, and 8th graders at the middle school this year, enjoying soccer and band. Our 3-year-old son is loving one more year at home before he starts school next year!
  • In August, we headed to South Carolina for a week at the beach with extended family.
